2025 5-star WR Jaden Nickens headlines Miami Immortals tryouts on Thursday
The 7-on-7 season is right around the corner and the new-look Miami Immortals will host their tryouts/showcase on Thursday night at St. Brendan Catholic in Westchester.
The organization, now under new leadership, has rostered multiple local Power 5 talents over the past few years such as West Virginia running back CJ Donaldson, Miami linebacker Wesley Bissainthe, Auburn wide receiver Camden Brown, UConn quarterback Zion Turner, LSU wide receiver signee Jalen Brown, Georgia cornerback signee Daniel Harris, Miami wide receiver signee Robby Washington, Louisville linebacker signee Stanquan Clark, and multiple others.
While most eyes in the recruiting world are starting to turn to the Class of 2024, it’s actually a Class of 2025 prospect who headlines the event. Oklahoma City (Ok.) Millwood wide receiver Jaden Nickens is the highest-ranked prospect expected to attend the Immortals showcase on Thursday night.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder, who also has an opportunity to play Division I basketball, is already considered the No. 16 overall player and No. 4 wideout in the sophomore class. Nickens spent a Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium this past fall.
But there will be some notable soon-to-be seniors attending, with Vero Beach (Fla.) High quarterback Tyler Aronson, an SMU commit, expected to be one of the top signal-callers at the event. His former teammate, Palm Beach Benjamin running back Chauncey Bowens, a Florida pledge, is also on the list provided to 247Sports.
Top247 wide receiver and Pittsburgh commit Ric’Darious ‘Day Day’ Farmer is expected to be featured as well. He won a state title with Cocoa last month.
Another committed Top247 prospect is Homestead (Fla.) running back Isaac Brown, who gave an early pledge to Louisville. The tailback off of the country’s southernmost turnpike exit helped the Broncos play for a chance at a state title last month.
Miami Booker T. Washington running back Gerald Modest, Miami Palmetto linebacker Char’quez Lee, Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons cornerback Guy Edmond, and Miami La Salle cornerback La’Varis Stanford are a few more notable rising seniors expected in.
Outside of Nickens, Homestead (Fla.) Top247 wide receiver Cortez Mills is another notable Class of 2025 pass catcher expected in attendance. 2025 Pahokee (Fla.) Top247 quarterback Austin Simmons will be one of the arms throwing passes to them. The southpaw has multiple Power 5 offers, including Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisville, Florida State, and Penn State amongst others.
2025 Miami Columbus linebacker Hector Chavez earned a Miami offer back in November. Palm Beach Benjamin EDGE Amaree Williams could end up being a pass rusher multiple Power 5 programs are fighting for in a year. He could also get it done at tight end. Pompano Beach (Fla.) North Broward Prep running back Deandre Desinor already has Power 5 programs like Florida State and Maryland offering. So does Miami Palmetto athlete Cameron Sapp, who Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Maryland, and West Virginia have already extended tenders too as a sophomore. Miami Belen Jesuit athlete Bryce Fitzgerald claims bids from Pittsburgh and Syraucse after picking off five passes as a sophomore.
2026 Miami South Dade safety Tedrick Lee is someone people around the Immortals are excited about. He claims Arkansas and Florida A&M offers. 2026 Miami St. Brendan Catholic cornerback Kevin White picked up an ultra-early offer from Texas A&M this week.
