Biscayne National Park Guide 2022

Biscayne National Park is a 172,000 acre park that is 95% water. The park is located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The park offers many activities for visitors to enjoy. Activities include fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming, and camping. There are also ranger-led programs available.

The park was established on March 3, 1972. It was originally called Biscayne National Monument. The park was renamed in 1980 to commemorate the Bicentennial of the United States.

The park is home to numerous plant and animal species. These include manatees, crocodiles, sea turtles, dolphins, and coral reefs.

The park is open every day of the year from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Admission is free.
