Bovo, Levine Cava will meet on Wednesday on the Miami-Dade Mayors’ Race Digital Discussion board – NBC 6 South Florida
Miami-Dade County’s mayoral candidates Daniella Levine Cava and Steve Bovo will discuss issues that matter to voters in a virtual forum on Wednesday evening.
The 7pm forum, hosted by the Miami-Dade County League of Cities and hosted by Willard Shepard of NBC 6, will help prepare the ground for one of the most powerful political positions in Florida before election day.
Bovo and Levine Cava ended neck to neck in the August primary, with Bovo gaining 29.28% of the vote and Levine Cava 28.79%, according to the county electoral bureau.
The forum precedes Saturday’s Mayor Debate hosted by NBC 6 and Telemundo 51. There the two will consolidate their positions on topics like the COVID-19 pandemic, transportation, the environment and more.
NBC 6 anchors Jackie Nespral and Jawan Strader will host the debate, which will air on NBC 6 on Saturday, October 3rd at 7 p.m.
There are three ways to vote in Miami-Dade: by mail, early voting from October 19th, and polling day on November 3rd. More information on voting can be found here.
