Florida rapper Tafia concerned in fiery tractor-trailer crash in Miami

MIAMI – Florida rapper Tafia, who is signed to Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers label, was involved in a violent crash on Thursday morning in Miami.

The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of State Road 112 near Northwest 12th Avenue.

According to Alex Camacho, Florida Highway Patrol Lt., an SUV and a trailer truck collided, causing the trailer truck to lose control and crash into a concrete crash barrier.

Approximately 100 gallons of fuel were spilled on the pavement, causing the truck to catch fire.

Camacho said the truck driver was lightly burned.

Tafia, who is from North Miami and drove his Audi SUV in 2021, was followed by his entourage in another vehicle.

He told a soldier that a car would cut him off and he would turn right. He said the truck driver didn’t seem to notice him and also turned right, pushing the rapper’s SUV against the barrier.

Members of the Tafia crew told Local 10 News reporter Parker Branton that Tafia suffered several minor cuts on the arm and some minor burns.

According to Camacho, State Road 112 between Northwest 17th Avenue and 22nd Avenue was completely shut down after the crash.

The official cause of the crash continues to be investigated.
