Homestead celebrates the opening of recent soccer fields

WHERE: Homestead Sports Complex, 1601 SE 28th Avenue, Homestead, FL 33035

On Friday, September 6th, the city of Homestead will redefine Friday Night Lights with an epic opening ceremony for the new soccer fields at the Homestead Sports Complex at 1601 SE 28th Avenue, Homestead, FL. From 6 p.m. the Homestead community is invited to explore the new fields and enjoy a festive opening evening with food trucks and music.

The opening ceremony also includes the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Fall Season Opening Ceremony at 7 p.m., which includes a parade of AYSO teams and remarks from Homestead Mayors and Councilors.

Renovation of the new soccer fields at the Homestead Sports Complex began in June and resulted in lighted soccer fields with irrigation and Bermuda grass for year-round resilience. For more information on all of Homestead’s parks and facilities, please visit www.cityofhomestead.com/parks.
