Mom and three youngsters had been hospitalized in northwest Miami-Dade after an accident with a stolen car

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Three children and two adults were injured in a serious crash in northwest Miami-Dade County.

In one of the vehicles involved in the accident was a mother who was driving her three children. The other vehicle, police said, was stolen.

The violent accident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday near the intersection of Northwest 66th Street and 22nd Avenue and left a lot of debris.

The two cars involved, a white BMW and a dark Subaru SUV that had previously been reported as stolen, were smashed and mutilated.

Police said the Subaru was traveling east on 66th Street at high speed as it boned the BMW at the intersection of 22nd Avenue.

The woman and her three children aged six, ten and eleven were in the BMW.

Witnesses told police they saw two people get out of the Subaru and run away after the collision.

Five people who were involved in the crash were taken to the Ryder Trauma Center, but none have been identified.


The victims’ family and friends were seen in the hospital waiting for an update from their loved ones.

According to the police, the mother is listed in a stable condition. The six-year-old is in critical but stable condition, and the other two children are stable.

The driver of the Subaru is also in stable condition, police said.

Authorities believe there were at least three people in the Subaru at the time of the crash.
