Sergeant opens fireplace on suspects outdoors the House Depot in Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – A police shooting was investigated in Southwest Miami-Dade County Sunday night.

It happened in the Home Depot and Costco parking lot on 79th Avenue and West Flagler Street.

A sergeant from the Miami-Dade Police Department was patrolling the area when a Home Depot agent told her that someone had stolen items. She saw the man supposedly pushing a shopping cart full of goods out of the store and trying to approach him.

The man ran and jumped into the passenger seat of a black two-door Honda, police say. A woman who drove this car is accused of driving it in the direction of the sergeant who fired her gun.

The sergeant was not hit by the car and is fine. The man and woman drove away and have not yet been found.

According to the police, the driver has reddish hair and a colorful vintage jacket

The man is believed to be about six feet tall, weigh 200 pounds, and wore a black shirt and black ripped jeans.
